About the University

Established in 2021 as a public undergraduate institution approved by China's Ministry of Education, Wenzhou University of Technology is a pilot demonstration university for applied-oriented education in Zhejiang Province. Located in Wenzhou--- a coastal city renowned as the cradle of China's private economy—the university occupies a modern 901.8-mu campus in the Wenzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone. WZUT offers 35 undergraduate programs across seven disciplines to over 10,000 students, with a faculty of 703. The university has earned national honors including National Experimental Zone for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education and BGA International Accreditation, committed to cultivating applied talents with international vision and practical capabilities.

2026 International Summer School Program

Building on successful previous Chinese Experience Camps, this program offers international students an immersive journey of academic exploration, cultural discovery, and cross-cultural friendship from July to August 2026 (7–14 day sessions available).

Academic Enlightenment: Small-class courses taught by experienced WZUT professors include Chinese Language (all levels), Chinese Culture and Society, Wenzhou's Business Spirit, and Traditional Chinese Art, ensuring personalized attention and solid foundations for understanding China.

Cultural Immersion: Field trips to iconic Wenzhou sites including ancient Lishui Street in Yongjia, UNESCO-listed Taishun wooden covered bridges, traditional handicraft workshops, lion dance and guzheng performances, and authentic local cuisine tastings.

Cross-Cultural Exchange: Paired with WZUT students for discussions, cultural sharing, sports, and evening parties; expert lectures on cross-cultural communication provide global perspectives.

The program provides on-campus accommodation, meals, airport pickup, visa assistance, and 24-hour support. Participants receive an official WZUT Certificate of Participation upon completion.
