1. School Profile

Jiaxing Nanhui University(JXNHU) is a full-time public undergraduate institution of higher learning. Named after the "Jiaxing Nanhui", the starting point of the Red Boat of the Chinese Revolution, it is the first application-oriented undergraduate university in Zhejiang Province to complete the transformation of an independent college.

Located in the core area of the Yangtze River Delta, close to major cities like Shanghai and Hangzhou, JXNHU enjoys convenient transportation with advanced high-speed rail and highway networks. Additionally, Jiaxing, as a renowned historical and cultural city, boasts a pleasant environment and comfortable living conditions, providing students with an excellent setting for study and life.

JXNHU adheres to the educational goal of "a first-class domestic application-oriented undergraduate university", the educational direction of "mainly engineering, combined with liberal arts", and the educational concept of "small but excellent, small but beautiful, small but outstanding". The campus covers an area of 900 mu. It has 13 secondary teaching units and 31 enrollment majors, with the proportion of engineering majors accounting for over 70%, covering six disciplines: engineering, economics, management, literature, law, and art. There are 9,000 full-time undergraduate students and over 690 faculty members.

2. Introduction to "South Lake Exploration-Cultural Bridge" Short-term Cultural Exchange between China and the United States.

The program lasts about 5-10 days (subject to actual arrangement)

Program location: Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province (main event venue), Hangzhou City, Shanghai City.

Through immersive local exploration，foreign students will experience Chinese Red Boat culture, Jiangnan intangible cultural heritage skills， water town folk customs, prehistoric civilization and modern urban culture, and perceive the rich connotations of Chinese civilization in a three-dimensional and multi-level way.

Relying on the cultural and urban resources of Jiaxing, Hangzhou and Shanghai, carefully design interactive scenarios and communication mechanisms to build a cross-cultural communication platform.

Using culture as a carrier, through telling vivid "Chinese stories"， especially showcasing the modern inheritance of Chinese excellent traditional culture and the glorious achievements of Chinese-style modernization, stimulate the resonance and interest of foreign young people, and deepen international friendship.

3. Main content of the program

Cultural learning module: Red Boat culture explanation, tracing the origin of Ma Jiabang culture, intangible cultural heritage courses such as knowledge of Chinese traditional medicine and Tai chi learning, classical literature appreciation.

Practical experience module： Sachet making of Chinese traditional medicine, folk customs experience, making zongzi at Wufangzhai， fruit picking， basic martial arts learning， tea art practical operation.

Visiting and touring module： South Lake Scenic Area, Wuzhen, museums (Jiaxing Musuem, Zhejiang Provincial Museum, Shanghai Museum, etc.), West Lake, Oriental Pearl Tower and other landmark scenic spots.

Communication and summary module: Opening ceremony,  cross-cultural symposium, closing ceremony.
