I. About the College: Inclusive Education, Craftsmanship with Heart

Zhejiang Vocational College of Special Education is located in Hangzhou—known as “Heaven on Earth”—in the scenic Xihu District, adjacent to the Xixi National Wetland Park. It is the only public higher vocational institution in Zhejiang Province dedicated to cultivating advanced skilled talents with disabilities and professionals serving the disability community. The college enrolls both students with disabilities and non-disabled students committed to social welfare, offering a distinctive range of programs centered on Special Education, Arts and Crafts Design, Smart Health and Senior Care, and Rehabilitation Therapy.

Following the success of our 2025 China-US youth exchange, we look forward to continuing our role as a bridge for cross-cultural understanding and mutual learning among international youth in 2026.

II. Summer School Program: 2026 Summer “YES” Study Tour

This program invites young people from the United States to join a 9-day immersive cultural study tour in China during the summer of 2026. The itinerary connects Hangzhou, Yiwu, and Shanghai, blending history, traditional culture, and modern innovation.

Program Highlights:

Ø Tracing Jiangnan Heritage: Cruise on the West Lake, stroll along the Su Causeway, and explore the Liangzhu Museum and the China National Archives of Publications and Culture—exploring the depth of Chinese civilization in breathtaking landscapes.

Ø Learning Eastern Arts and Crafts: Through the college’s unique educational resources, engage in hands-on workshops on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), calligraphy, seal carving, and martial arts. Experience the grace of Hanfu and the elegance of the Chinese tea ceremony.

Ø Engaging with Future Technology: Get hands-on with robotics and drone flying—discover China’s technological innovation through interactive digital experiences.

Ø Exploring Global Gateways: Step into the "World Supermarket" at Yiwu International Trade City, ascend the Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai, and take in the city’s vibrant pulse along the Bund.

The program is supported by professional instructors and guides throughout.  A Certificate of Completion will be awarded at the closing ceremony, and outstanding participants will be invited to share their experiences.
