About ZISU

Zhejiang International Studies University, located in the beautiful Hangzhou City of Zhejiang Province, is a public provincial university with Regional and Country Studies as the leading discipline, Foreign Languages and Literatures as the foundation, and multi-disciplinary supportive development. Founded in 1955 as Zhejiang Education Institute, upholding the university motto of Virtue, Perseverance, Erudition, Practicality, ZISU is committed to cultivating high-end international applied talents with national identity and global vision, who are proficient in foreign languages, equipped with strong digital intelligence capabilities, and capable of undertaking the mission of cultural exchange and mutual learning among civilizations. At present, ZISU has more than 10,000 full-time domestic students and about 500 international students on campus, offering 36 undergraduate programs and 3 master's programs, covering literature, education, economics, management, engineering, art and other disciplines.

As a Zhejiang Provincial Base for International People-to-People Exchanges, ZISU has established close cooperative relations with more than 150 international universities and institutions around the world. Relying on its disciplinary advantages of nearly 20 foreign language majors, the university has been building a bridge for the dialogue of diverse civilizations, actively responding to the Belt and Road Initiative, deepening the construction of Local Internationalization, and striving to build itself into a world-renowned foreign language university featuring serving the new type of international relations. 

About 2026 ZISU International Summer School

Duration: June 29 to July 12, 2026

Theme: Exploration · Dialogue · Transformation

Principles: Academic Excellence, International Vision and Sustainable Development.

Features: The 2026 International Summer School will integrate academic courses, cultural experience and practical research, and design a rich and diverse curriculum system and activity plan for international youth, with the participation of well-known professors at home and abroad and the joint organization of ZISU's multi-disciplinary teachers, to create an immersive cross-cultural exchange experience.

Modules and Options:

1. Cutting-edge Academic Courses delivered by domestic and visiting international professors in Global Regional and Urban Development Strategy, Digital Economy and Regional Cooperation, Sino-foreign Education Comparison, Cross-border E-commerce, AI Empowering Education, and other cutting-edge issues.

2. Immersive Cultural Experience based on the profound cultural heritage of Zhejiang and Hangzhou to design a "Walking Cultural Classroom" integrating traditional culture and modern development.

3. Cross-border Practical Research such as Digital Zhejiang Study Tour for BRICS Youth, Sino-US Educational Innovation, Cultural Heritage Protection and Inheritance, Overseas Chinese Teenagers' Cultural Root-seeking in Hangzhou, and organize round-table forums.
